Feb 16-20 - can’t figure it out

Sometimes it seems like a back problem, sometimes knee. Will likely need a specialist to figure this out.  The only thing for certain is that it's worse at night.

I did 225k on Thursday and Friday was my best day/night in a long time. Perhaps I just have sitting-around-too-much degeneration.  The 225k wasn't without issues but they were predictable - muscle cramps from a) not riding enough and b) sitting in the saddle too long in the heat. Standing pedaling is still an issue due to seeming weakness in the left leg.

It's that weakness and numbness down the knee that makes this seem more like a pinched nerve issue vs knee wear & tear, but who knows.

It's now been two weeks since the moderna shot so I'll call tomorrow and setup a follow up with my dr.

The weekly food routine is pretty much set. On Saturday Sandy goes to the market and picks up shrimp and crab cakes. We have the shrimp that night, the crab cakes on Monday. Sunday we eat at the tiki. One other night we have pork chops or steak or chicken stir fry. The other nights it's fish.

During the day, depending on the day and weather, Cassie gets a sandbar trip, I go for a 100k ride, Sandy takes Cassie for a walk. The only other "big" events are a trip to the wine store, grocery store, haircut (Sandy) and not much etc. etc - that's pretty much it.  I do go to church.

I'm glad that retired life isn't permanently like this, or hope !!  I need to travel, have projects, change of scenery. We will loosen up a bit after our 2nd moderna shot on March 8.  Disney, perhaps a driving trip somewhere, Jeffrey and Sara & kids here for Easter ... we also need to get the boat out.

It's a year since the Hydra Sport has been in the water.  The marina was pretty much shut down this time last year and then when it opened, you had to tightly schedule your in and out. We didn't bother. I'm sure that it needs a real cleaning at this point. Have to get it operational before Jeffrey and Sara get here.

Onward.
